Wall art for rental homes — no drilling, no losing your deposit

Wall art for rental homes — no drilling, no losing your deposit

You don't own the walls. The landlord still wants the deposit back. And yet the rental looks like a hotel — and not in a good way.

Command Strips. 3M Picture Hangers. Lean-on-shelf. Two leaning, one hanging.

1. Command Strips (the real ones)

Adhesive hangers from 3M, rated up to 7 kg each. Two strips per frame. Pull straight down (not out!) to remove cleanly. Won't take paint with them if applied to dry, dust-free walls.

2. Picture-hanging strips for framed prints

For our framed A2 / A1 sizes (1.5 kg). One pair handles up to 2 kg. Two pairs for extra security on heavier frames.

3. Lean-on-shelf

Buy a 1-foot floating shelf, lean two prints on it overlapping. No holes, looks intentionally curated. Works especially well above a bed.

4. The rail trick

Some Indian rentals have a thin moulding rail near the ceiling — designed for exactly this. Use S-hooks and clear fishing line. Looks effortless.

Five framed prints under ₹2,000

Browse framed A4s — all under ₹999. Two of them with Command Strips and a shelf-lean third = a finished wall for under ₹3,000 with zero damage.
